An Evidence Passport is the reviewable record attached to an AIC analysis. It keeps the finding connected to its source, transformations, method, uncertainty, approval and permitted use.
What it records
Six layers of evidence accountability
The passport is designed for researchers, reviewers, programme managers and decision-makers who need to understand not only the result, but whether it is suitable for the decision in front of them.
Implementation status: AIC already retains dataset, variable mapping, cleaning steps, parameters and analysis-job identifiers. The complete portable passport and approval history are being standardised across every workspace.
Source
Provider, dataset, licence, publication date, collection period and geographic coverage.
Quality
Completeness, missingness, comparability warnings and a visible freshness classification.
Method
Variables, transformations, analytical recipe, parameters and software or model version.
Reliability
Backtest window, baseline comparison, error metrics, uncertainty and known limitations.
Decision use
Interpretation, reviewer, approval history and clear recommended or prohibited uses.
